cinnamon rolls recipe--Cooking A Dream

soft sweet cinnamon rolls recipe

Ingredients for dough:
350g flour( 2 &1/2 cups)
120g milk (3/4 of a cup)
95g egg (2eggs)
60g butter( 1/4 cup)
5g yeast(1&1/4 tsp)
25g sugar(2tbsp)
5g salt (1tsp)

Ingredients for cinnamon sugar:
60g brown sugar( 1/3 of a cup)
6g cinnamon powder(1tbsp)
3g vanilla (1tsp)
25g butter (2tbsp)

Ingredients for glaze:
50g powder sugar(1/2 cup)
1tbsp milk
1/2 tsp vanilla
cream cheese if you like

  1. make the dough using all the ingredients for dough above
  2. use luke warm milk and melted butter for this
  3. let the dough rise covered in a warm place
  4. meanwhile, make the cinnamon sugar 
  5. when the dough rises to double take out and roll flat on a work serface
  6. spread cinnamon sugar on it evenly
  7. roll inwards keeping the sugar side in
  8. seal the outer edge with water
  9. cut in 8-9 pieces like pinwheel shape
  10. put on your baking tray, cover and let proof double
  11. brush egg yolk on top and bake 180°C for 20 mins
  12. meanwhile, make the glaze
  13. drizzle glaze on top when comes out of the oven
