spring water tuna (net 185g can -140g drained weight)
1 potato (steamed)
1 egg (white yolk separated)
1 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
bread crumbs (optional)
seasonings:
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
red chilli powder to taste
3/4 tsp garam masala powder(cinnamon, cardamom, cloves)
ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
finely chopped onion, cilantro, green onion, green chilli
Method:
- steam and peal a medium size potato (don't boil in water)
- add all the seasonings, finely chopped herbs, cornstarch and an egg yolk
- mash well
- keep the egg white separate
- squizee out all the water from tuna
- add to the potato and mix gently, don't mash too much
- make small patties
- deep into the beaten egg white and deep-fry in medium hot oil
- serve with salad, rice, or make sandwiches
